Before Nsobe Trust School was established, the children of the bush had to walk two or more hours each way to schools in different villages. Because the schools have a shortage of teachers and a lack of funding, the children go to school in shifts: two-hour shifts! The Bush Children would walk to school for two hours, attend school for two hours and then walk two hours home. This is the reason Nsobe Trust School was started.
They also recognized that it was necessary for the children to eat a good nutritious meal to be able to learn – and thus the Feeding Program was born and continues to provide nutritious meals to the students who attend Nsobe Trust School.
