In 2008, my mum was hired as a dorm parent for Grace Academy. Because she was a single parent and would reside at Grace and there was no one else to look after us, my sisters and I were able to live at Grace and there was no one else to look after us, my sisters and I were able to live at Grace too. Coming to Grace was a turning point in my life. Grace Academy gave me free education, security and showered me with lots of love. Life at Grace was amazing! I was shown grace and given great opportunities that I know never would have had otherwise. I was even chosen to come go to Vancouver, Canada to sing in the choir tour, which was an amazing experience. I was able to see things I never thought I would, God has blessed me!

In 2015, I completed my grade 12 and went to college in Ndola, from where I recently graduated with a degree in Production Management.

This past year my life has come full circle. Once a child in care at Grace, I have now returned to Grace Academy as a member of Staff and am training to be the Manager of Buseko House (where littlest children are housed).

I am so glad that I can be an example to the little ones: I am living proof of what can happen when you are given an opportunity, receive it with grateful heart, set your mind on a goal and work hard to achieve it.

I am grateful to Seeds of Hope and all my sponsors each and every day. I am who I am today because Seeds of Hope was there for me throughout. What my mum couldn’t do for me and my sisters, Seeds of Hope did!
